“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
We can be unsaved and have fun, we can be unsaved and have success, we can be unsaved and experience excitement, and we can be unsaved and be happy because of happy circumstances. But we cannot be unsaved and have the joy in the LORD. We must have the Lord as our Savior to have His joy. Is the joy in the Lord a matter of emotion whereby we may be out spoken in a church service or is it a feeling down deep in our soul? Many times it is the feeling in our soul working outward. “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” When all is gone – God is not gone. He is the God of our salvation so we can rejoice because whatever comes our way here in this life our eternal home is secure.
Our Lord is a constant source of joy
