“For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”
Here is a glimpse into what is just ahead for us. The verse begins with the Lamb being in midst of the throne. When John the Baptist saw Jesus walking toward him he said: ”Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29) Jesus is the Lamb -- the sacrifice made so we can go to heaven. When we are absent from the body we are present with the Lord. (II Corinthians 5:8) Jesus is there in heaven and He will take care of any needs we will ever have. This is the green pastures, living fountains of water, the calm waters, and the river of life everlasting. When we have arrived at last to our beautiful home called heaven and God will wipe away all the tears resulting of any suffering we may have endured here on earth. We do not have to be afraid of the world beyond, we should be well pleased to be absent from this body and to be present with the Lord. Is your future home going to be heaven or hell?
We will be in heaven by not what we have done—but what Jesus did for us
