Thought from the Word

A THOUGHT FROM THE WORD

Acts 2:21

“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

What does it means to be saved? Those of us that are saved use the term often and many may not know exactly what we are saying. We all have inherited a sinful nature when we were born. There is no one that is perfectly righteous. We all have come short of the glory of God or the mark that God has set for us.We do sinful things because we have a sinful nature. What is sin?Sin is when we break the laws of God that are set down in God’s word the Bible. So to be saved means we are forgiven, pardoned, justified freed from every condemnation of sin.We are given a new nature from God; we are delivered from the consequences of sin.Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.Jesus died on the cross paying the wages of our sin.He died in our place, He died for us.Receive Jesus today so you can be saved.“…Save me, and I shall be saved:.” (Je. 17:14)

Our first step to happiness is confess our sin to a holy God—

Asking His forgiveness
