Thought from the Word

I John 2:5

“But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”

The Bible links together obedience and our love for God.  If we love God we will obey His Word.  When a person becomes a believer there is a change of attitude toward sin.  Please some of the changes that take place in a believer’s life.

  • A Christian no longer loves sin as he once did.
  • A Christian no longer brags about his sin as he once did.
  • A Christian no longer plans to sin as he once did.
  • A Christian no longer fondly remembers his sin as he once did.
  • A Christian never fully enjoys his sin as he once did.
  • A Christian no longer is comfortable in habitual sin as he once was.

What is your attitude today sin?  “Ye that love the Lord, hate evil.” Psalm 9710.  “Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” Roman 12:9   We should loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness.  Let’s read and obey God’s Word.

Believers are to love God loves and hate what God hates
