Thought from the Word

I Corinthians 15:3-4

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

I know there is a great discussion on which day of the week our Savior actual died on the cross but I don’t want to enter that debate.I just want to rejoice in the fact Jesus rose from the dead. His resurrection represents a demonstration of the power of God, the confirmation of the divinity of Jesus Christ and the grounds of hope for Christian believers.Jesus was born as one of us who came into the world to make it possible for us to go to heaven when we die.It is so easy to get swept away with all the trappings of the season but we must keep this thought foremost in our thinking that Jesus was the divine Son of God who died for our sins and rose again by the power of God for our salvation.Praise the Lord!!!

As a believer we simply pass from God’s earthy care to God’s eternal care
