Thought from the Word

Mark 1:35

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Here we have our Lord at prayer. He would get up early in the morning a great while before the sun came up and find a solitary place to pray. There by His self He would talk to His heavenly Father in prayer. Our busy schedules should drive us to prayer, not from it.Psalm 55:16-17 so well puts it: “As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.”If prayer was important to Jesus, then it must be important for us believers.I need to determine to pray on a more regular basis and it may be that you do too. There is nothing like the appointment to meet with God in a time of solitary prayer -- just you and God.

I will cry unto God that performs miracles on our behalf
