A THOUGHT FROM THE WORD
“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;”
Soon afterward we got saved even though we had a very limited knowledge of the Bible we were asked to teach Sunday School classes.Nelda was asked to teach a pre-school class and I was asked to teach 5th grade boys.We started serving the Lord very early in our Christian life.We are not to be lazy but instead we are to find a church to worship Him then find something to do in the church. Why are we to do this?Because we are told too!One writer put it this way: “It is better to wear out than to rust out serving the Lord.”Our service for the Lord should not be “we have to” but “we love to” serve the Lord.We want to help others get what we have and that is more of the Lord and His blessings.Every believer has been called to live for the Lord and then be a member of a Bible preaching, Bible practicing church and serve the Lord every way possible that you are able to do.Here we are 63 years later and we are still lovin’ and servin’ the Lord. How are you serving the Lord?
Knowing God’s Word is not enough. We are to do God’s Word
