Thought from the Word

Matthew 1:18

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

“O that birth forever blessed, When the Virgin, full of grace, By the Holy Ghost conceiving, Bare the Savior of our race; And the Babe, the world's Redeemer, First revealed His sacred face, Evermore and evermore!”These words to this hymn were penned in 413 A.D. WOW!!!Now that is a long time ago.But notice the Scripture that is used in these words. The Virgin Birth, He came by Grace, the Holy Spirit is involved, and He is our Redeemer. It does not matter what day we celebrate His birth but we do know Christ was born, He lived, He died, and He rose from the grave for our sins and He did this once and for all.Oh what joy it is that we have a Redeemer.

Isn’t it wonderful we have a Bible that tells us these things?
