A THOUGHT FROM THE WORD

Matthew 2:16

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

Why was Herod so afraid of the Christ child? He was afraid Jesus would take over his throne after all the wise men did ask “Where is he that is born King of Jews? (vs 2)Herod did not understand the reason for Christ coming into the world.Jesus did not come to take over Herod’s throne. He wanted to be King of Herod’s life.People today are afraid of Jesus, afraid He wants to take things away from them. But the facts are He wants to give so much to people like real freedom, real peace and real joy.Why do you fear Jesus?

This Christmas give your heart to Jesus
