Thought from the Word

Exodus 14:20

“And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.”

Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side ---and light to the other side.God appears differently to those who trust Him and those that reject Him.To the believers He is light, comfort, joy, protection and gladness. But to those that reject Him He is darkness, dreadful terror and judgment.Death for the Christian is a blessed event. The Angels rejoice, Christ is there to meet the one coming home, friends rejoice to see the homecoming but not so for the unbeliever. It is darkness, no mention of friends greeting their coming, no rejoicing nothing mentioned but gnashing of teeth and fire. Come to the Savior while there is still time. The cloud brought darkness to one side to the other --- light.

For the Believer – When Jesus comes there will be unspeakable joy
