Thought from the Word

Isaiah 61:10

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness..”

We are to greatly rejoice in the Lord.We are to express our joy in the wondrous blessings we receive from the hand of God.Again we should rejoice in the fact He is “My God”.Our God is a personal God He is interested in us personally. Our joy is “in the Lord” not in anything we have or are. This rejoicing can only come from God no other source can produce it and no other condition. Our joy is in the Lord.We need to be happy way down in our inner most being because of what God has done for us and what He is doing for us on a daily basis. Don’t be a down hearted Christian be a rejoicing Christian because God is “my God” a personal helper in all circumstances.

See that your joy is well-founded. Let it not be the joy of the hypocrite, nor of the Pharisee. "That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment!" Job 20:5

You should rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God has given you.
