A THOUGHT FROM THE WORD
“Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.”
We really enjoy our Sunday School class that we attend. The study that we just began is taken from the 51st Psalm. The first verse states: “Have mercy upon me, O God”. A short version of the word mercy is “God shields sinners from what they deserve and gives gifts that they do not deserve” We see in this Psalm the darkest days of David’s life. His sin was something that he wished had never taken place. But it did and now he is finding his way back to God.Most of us have done something or other we wished had never taken place but thank God when we realize our fellowship with God is broken He has provided a way back to Him.We can give our sorrow to the Savior and He gives us a new beginning. Do you need a new beginning then talk to our heavenly Father?
There must be a time when we turn our hearts to God.
