Thought from the Word

I Corinthians 10:13

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

We have within us two natures. One is when we are born again we have the Divine nature. The other nature is the old sin nature we are born with. Therefore, we all have the same desires to obey the old sin nature. In this verse we have the assurance that when we are tempted to sin we can trust God to help us.He tells us that He won’t let anything tempt us that we will not be able to resist.Instead of us falling into obeying the old sin nature He will provide us a way to endure without sinning. He does this so we will not sin and ruin our testimony as a witness to the power of God.The Psalm writer said to the heavenly Father “Hold me up and I will be safe.” What a blessing to be have A Father like we have.

The best course to prevent falling into the pit — is to keep at the greatest distance from the pit.
